I have worked my whole life with only one thing on my mind and that was when I was going to make it back into the field. So I decided to make my dream a reality and take customers to experience what I have such a deep passion for whether that be chasing mallard ducks or giant white-tails.
After years in the outdoor industry operating my own retail store that deals with every avenue of hunting, I not only wanted to provide people with gear to use out in the field but help them put that gear to use and experience a hunt of a lifetime.
With years of guide experience I decided it was time to run my own operation and show my customers what I am blessed to witness on a daily basis while in the woods chasing deer or turkey or in a field chasing ducks and geese.
Growing up in East Texas on a farm running equipment always taught me good work ethic. Good days or bad, from a surplus of waterfowl to those mid January stale birds, I am up and ready to get after them day in and day out.
I was born and raised in Red River County, Texas where my passion and love for the hunt was introduced to me at a very young age. I started my hunting career following in my dad's footsteps through the turkey woods and deer stands of East TX. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Agri-Business. I live in Clarksville, TX with my wife, Lauren, my daughter, Landri, and our black labradors Becky and Timber. Ducks and turkeys are at the top of my list but you'll catch me in the deer stand or behind a hound chasing hogs or squirrels from time to time as well. I make a promise to anyone that hunts with me, no matter what the birds do, I make it my job for you to have the best and most fun experience possible. I enjoy cutting up and making memories with each hunt that I am a part of, so let's get out there and enjoy the outdoors together!
Also born and raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas, Mike did not grow up hunting. After meeting Mike several years back and talking about the vision we had with Tornado Valley Outfitters, he expressed his passion for cooking and that it had somewhat been a dream of his to be a part of an Outfitter and to prepare excellent meals. Mike is the man in the Kitchen and at Lodge from a first class breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, to beef wellington and booyee cake for desert!!
